SONGER LA VAGUE SUR UN HORIZON UNE PROMESSE
BIENNALE DES ARTS ET DE L’OCÉAN . NICE . FRANCE
MAY 6TH – SEPTEMBER 25TH . 2025

Curator : Hélène Guenin . Jean-Jacques Aillagon

Joël Andrianomearisoa brings emotional experiences to the heart of urban space and explores the universality of human experience through the poetry of words. Both monumental and fragile, his work draws on Malagasy multiculturalism and tradition.

For the Biennial, he has created a new work that echoes the topography of Nice, between sea and mountains. As if suspended in the sky, the phrase emphasizes the ever-changing, ever-reinvented horizon of the shoreline. It highlights the iconic Ponchettes, built in the 18th century on the ancient walls that protected the city. The terraces of this now open horizon were dedicated to contemplating the sea.
